An actuator coil from an old hard drive. I've been using this to 'eavesdrop' on the electromagnetic signals emanating from various gadgets. The hard drive in my laptop, for example, sounds almost like guitar feedback.

Fence pole pulling. Hey, they don't call the SLPR'er 'ol tripod' for no reason - lol!
Million dollar projects start with engineers and architects who come up with the plans. Then you have the working people who put it all into place. A whole lot of 'improvising' takes place on any job site to make things work - it's all the old 'improvise, adapt, and overcome' thing. Note the extensive use of vice-grips to keep the piece of rebar in place at the top, and to link the chain around the fence pole at the bottom.
Here, the SLPR'er needed to get rid of some fence poles that need to be moved. The usual method is to have someone with a backhoe come up and use a chain to yank the suckers out. Here, on my small scale weekend warrior DIY project here, I took some scrap 2x4's, pieces of chains, and used a come-along - and bingo - out they came!
